PV installer

Full time$24 to $32 per hour, sample range

Rooftop and ground mount installation: racking, flashing, module setting, conduit and rapid shutdown. You will be on a two or three person crew doing one to two residential systems a week.

Raleigh, field based across the Triangle

What you will do

  • Set flashed mounts into rafters and build rail runs to layout
  • Land modules, connect DC circuits and terminate rapid shutdown devices
  • Run EMT and PVC conduit neatly, with bends you would be happy to show someone
  • Keep the site tidy and the customer's property protected

What you need

  • Two years of construction or electrical field experience
  • Comfortable working at height with fall protection, every time
  • Valid driver licence and a clean record
  • Able to lift 50 lb repeatedly through a working day

Helpful, not required

  • OSHA 30
  • NABCEP PV Associate
  • Roofing or flashing background

Licensed electrician

Full time$34 to $46 per hour, sample range

Service work, panel changes, critical loads subpanels, battery and EV charger installation, and final connections on PV systems. Journeyman or above.

Raleigh, field based

What you will do

  • Perform load calculations and service upgrades to 400 A
  • Build critical loads subpanels and install islanding transfer equipment
  • Commission storage systems, including live outage testing with the customer
  • Mentor installers working toward their own licence

What you need

  • North Carolina electrical licence, journeyman or above
  • Experience with residential service equipment and panel changes
  • Willingness to be the person who says a design is not code compliant

Helpful, not required

  • Battery storage commissioning experience
  • EVSE and load management systems
  • Spanish language

PV system designer

Full time, hybrid$68,000 to $86,000, sample range

Turn site survey data into stamped designs and honest production models. You own the numbers that go in front of customers.

Raleigh office, two days remote

What you will do

  • Build array layouts, string configurations and conductor schedules
  • Run production modelling including per plane shade analysis
  • Prepare permit sets and interconnection applications
  • Review and defend every figure that reaches a proposal

What you need

  • Two years designing residential or commercial PV
  • Fluent with production modelling software and the NEC articles that apply
  • Able to explain a model to a homeowner without jargon

Helpful, not required

  • Storage sizing experience
  • Commercial interval data analysis
  • EIT or PE track

Site surveyor

Full time$25 to $33 per hour, sample range

The first person at the property and the one whose measurements everything downstream depends on. Roof, attic, service panel, shade study.

Field based across Wake, Durham and Orange

What you will do

  • Measure roof planes, pitch, azimuth and rafter spacing
  • Run fisheye shade analysis on every plane and report TSRF
  • Assess service panel, meter base and conduit routing
  • Photograph everything a designer will wish they could see

What you need

  • Comfortable on roofs and in crawl spaces and attics
  • Methodical, because a missed measurement becomes a change order
  • Good customer manner: you are often the only person they meet before signing

  • NABCEP PV Associate
  • Home inspection or energy audit background
